The main area adjoining the tokonomas was where the club answered visitor's questions and conducted small informal bonsai demonstrations throughout the show.  This year this area also included an exhibition of photographs taken by Randy Clark which showed the relationship between the art of bonsai and trees as they appear in the natural landscape.

In the corner of the photo exhibition area was a large Shimpaku Juniper (Juniperus chinensis "shimpaku") created by Randy Clark.
