2006 Southern Spring Home And Garden Show

Arthur Joura, Curator of Bonsai for the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville was this year's winner of the Peoples Choice Award.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Photo Above:  Exhibitor #8 - Steve Pilacik - Matsu Momiji Nursery, Willow Leaf Ficus, Ficus nerifolia, Informal Upright Style, Age: 24 years and in training as bonsai for the past 15 years.  Accent: Ceramic sculpture of old beggar man.

Also on display at the 2006 Southern Spring Show was this striking Chinese Quince grown and shown by BSC member, Kitty Craig of Charlotte.  It was one of the hits of the show.  A detail of the flower can be seen below.
